Advanced OSF material is deeply rooted in & fluidly expanded from advanced Skinner Releasing practice. It’s where OSF/SRT Introductory work is headed! New alignment insights, new depths, more & deeper deep-states, transporting imagery.  Joan Skinner did not intend Advanced SRT to be codified or limited to 12 ‘Ongoing’ SRT classes.  She left us with a wealth of material not included in those 12 classes. Our advanced sessions are culled from material passed on by SRT creator Joan Skinner & early practitioners, & integrated with Skura’s/OSF’s improvisational research.  This level of the practice is sophisticated, deep, and evolved in alignment approaches — richly navigating states below conscious level. Stephanie is the only still-practicing facilitator who worked closely alongside Joan Skinner for over a decade, & had the precious opportunity as close friend, to roam inside Joan’s brilliant mind with questions & curiosities. We’re the only SRT or OSF teachers on the planet, that we know of, currently creating classes at this advanced level !

Participant numbers are limited to ensure responsible facilitation. Hold your place by registering for the whole series at a discount, or register in advance for single sessions.

Series of 6 sessions at 10% discount:  $167 USD (thanks for paying full price if you’re able!)
Series of 6 sessions, low-income price: $108 USD
Single session, full price: $30
Single session, low-income price: $22

OSF online thru Movement Research Spring 2026

OSF ONLINE with Teresa Smith thru Movement Research, spring 2026! Mondays 10-11am (ET) in March, April and June. These 1 hour releasing classes are a great way to start your week, and can be done in your home, in any amount of space, anywhere in the world. I look forward to dancing with you in international virtual community. Register thru Movement Research https://movementresearch.org/classes/2906/

In OSF classes we enter a creative process; letting go of outer layers of holding to find primal energy and ease. Guided by embodied imagery as a powerful tool for transformation we’ll learn to move with agility, transparency and depth. Through alignment studies, movement exploration and group improvisation we’ll cultivate a deep connection to our inner and outer environments. In this series we’ll explore three unique states of dancing; I move, it moves me, It moves! A remarkably effective way of learning, the OSF approach can catalyze transformation in many kinds of practice, in unique movement virtuosity, and in daily life.

What to expect: This is an improvisational movement class for all levels of movers, and can be done with any amount of energy. Kinesthetic insight is approached in multi-directional, structural and poetic ways. Music and silence is interwoven with (spoken) poetic imagery, deep meditations and active, focused improvisation. Open Source Forms™ was developed by Stephanie Skura and is deeply rooted in the seminal work of Joan Skinner / Skinner Releasing Technique™. I’ll also draw material from studies with Yvonne Meier and my Earthbody research.

Teresa Smith brings to her teaching a warm appreciation of each person’s essence and delights in awakening the creative spirit. She is a certified teacher of Open Source Forms™ and practiced the root form Skinner Releasing™ for three decades. Through her dance company ‘Earthbody’ she presents performance, artwork and workshops emerging from an intimate conversation with the body, psyche and natural environment. https://www.earthbodyevents.com

Open to all certified OSF and Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT) teachers, and combined with opportunities for creative practice experiments. A six-day program in a respectful, collaborative atmosphere. Introduces a wealth of rarely-taught material beyond the introductory level, passed on by Joan Skinner and developed by experienced practitioners during the past 25 years. Learning to create classes at this level.

Taking advantage of the creative state in which we find ourselves when practicing this work, we’ll spend some time dabbling, seriously-easefully, in performance-making:  a time to truly and freely experiment, with options for informal showings along the way.

Facilitated by Stephanie Skura and Manuela Bondavalli

This 3-week  preparatory program is designed for experienced OSF & SRT practitioners who long to more deeply understand underlying conceptual structures & strategies of OSF. Some may decide to follow with an OSF Teacher Certification Program. Others may want to take the work in other directions.

Though not a commitment to OSF Teacher Training, OSF Sourcing Deeper is a required pre-requisite for all applicants to OSF Teacher Certification Programs.  It’s also designed for those who choose to participate for their own studies, reflections, research, or integrations with other practices.

OSF Sourcing Deeper is a ‘first pass’ at the complex array of skills & concepts that allow facilitators to create seemingly magical environments conducive to deeply transformative experiences.

The program includes the full spectrum of Introductory Level OSF material in morning sessions, plus substantive afternoon participatory discussions, vocal practice, sophisticated improvisational practice, hands-on practice, writing & drawing practice, language & music considerations — plus related readings in relevant philosophical topics that enhance our understanding of the profound concepts underlying this practice. For those who choose to follow with OSF Teacher Training, Sourcing Deeper will render the rigors of OSF Teacher Certification more digestible, less overwhelming, and decidedly more fun!

2025 Fees

Applicants for OSF Sourcing Deeper need experience with a minimum of two consecutive weeks of Introductory Open Source Forms or Skinner Releasing Technique, ideally within the past two years. To apply for OSF Sourcing Deeper Seattle 2025, please complete the application at the link below:
